The second work in the COSMETIC ROACH series.

This work explores using cockroaches as makeup by attaching them to the face. Electrodes deliver electrical stimulation, making their many legs move. Peacock feathers amplify the movement and suggest the mystery of outer space.

Through this work, I tried to make art without social criticism. Any art connected to society seems to carry a critical dimension. Could art dedicated to a universe without humanity escape that condition? This work is addressed not to humanity, but to life that might exist elsewhere in the universe.
